Waar gaat Livstid over?
De eigenzinnige rechercheur Victoria Woll zit een levenslange gevangenisstraf uit, terwijl er tegelijkertijd wordt teruggeblikt op een zaak van twintig jaar eerder. Toen werkte Woll met haar collega's aan de moord op de 34-jarige Siv Bakke, die dood werd gevonden in de bossen terwijl haar dochtertje wist te ontsnappen. Gedurende acht afleveringen wordt vervolgens duidelijk hoe Woll uiteindelijk zelf in de gevangenis is beland.
