¿De qué trata Port of Shadows?
Un desertor del ejército francés (Jean Gabin), llega a Le Havre -una ciudad permanentemente envuelta en la niebla-, para huir en barco. Conoce a Nelly (Michèle Morgan) en Casa Panamá, un garito del muelle, y simpatizan de inmediato; ella es una joven de 17 años tiranizada por su tutor, Zabel (Michele Simon), un hombre extraño que mantiene tratos con un grupo de jóvenes que juegan a ser mafiosos. Uno de ellos acosa a Nelly, y Jean lo humilla. El suicidio de un pintor, que frecuenta Casa Panamá, permite al desertor asumir una nueva identidad.
